Ooh, look at us socialising and sharing!
Hi, I’m Natasha.
Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.
I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.
“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.
Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.
I hope this brings you creative joy

Book Review (by Natasha 21/01/17) - A Little Course in Knitting by DK (with pictures below)
Learn to knit with “A Little Course in Knitting”. This book contains guides for yarn, needles, stitches, reading patterns and projects. There are supporting images to teach all the elements of knitting and it is worked in stages to break down into an easy-to-follow course to get you from beginner to advanced level in knitting.
I have learnt a lot of knitting skills from this book and I now use it as my quick check guide when I can’t remember something. It is very easy to follow, which is down to the clear and concise layout, instructions and pictures. By breaking down each element, in this way, you can progress in a fluid manner making it less frustrating to learn knitting. It makes it seem that there is not as much to learn as you may have thought. So those of you who are scared to try because you think knitting looks too complicated, don’t be, get this book and you will be knitting before you know it!
The images are clear and colourful. They are well laid out and have descriptions, in a clear font, so you have the benefit of both text and visual aids. The book is also quite small so it could easily fit in a hand bag, which means you can learn while on the go.
The book really encourages you to be patient and take it slow. It achieves this by giving you projects for each stage so that you are actually creating physical items from the start. These projects are suitable for each level and it will have you at advanced level by the end of the book.
I definitely rate this 5 out of 5.
