Ooh, look at us socialising and sharing!
Hi, I’m Natasha.
Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.
I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.
“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.
Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.
I hope this brings you creative joy

BOOK REVIEW (By Natasha 24/10/16) - Jack and the Flum Flum Tree By Julia Donaldson
Jack and the Flum Flum Tree is a firm family favourite. It is one that we came to enjoy completely by accident. My son, Kameron kept being drawn to this book but I didn’t think it looked very appealing because the one that was in the library had a white and blue cover. It really didn’t draw you in on first look so I used to edge towards other books. However, Kameron just couldn’t stop picking it up time after time. I eventually gave in and let him borrow the book from the library.
Once I had read the book to the kids, I was hooked. It is a fun rhyming story that has repetitive parts that the kids can join in with. The pictures are colourful and attractive for kids. The kids really enjoyed it all as the story unfolded. We laugh so much together when we read it and we loved the book so much that we ended up buying it to keep forever. This is one book that won’t be going to the charity shop because we won’t ever be done with it. I am thoroughly looking forward to reading it to my future grandchildren.
It is true what they say - “You should never judge a book by its cover!” My suggestion from the lesson I have learnt is read the inside and see if the story is actually any good before just out rightly dismissing it. This is a fun children’s book for the whole family that I highly recommend. Happy reading my Book Club friends.
BOOK REVIEW (By my son, Korey (8) with help from his big sister, Kayleigh)
This book is about Jack and his crew setting sail to the isle of Blowyernose. They go to find the flum flum fruit that will cure Granny’s moozles.
I think this is a very funny book. I like the pictures because they were very well drawn. I also enjoyed the funny rhymes, they were very entertaining. It is a good bed time story. I think children and grown-ups would like this book.
BOOK REVIEW (By my son, Kameron (9))
Jack and his friends sail to an island to get a flum flum to cure their Granny. On the way they have trouble with sharks but it’s fun to read this book.
I like this book. I think it is very funny and other people should read it. I like the pictures because they were very well drawn.
We rate “Jack and the Flum Flum Tree” a 5 out of 5.
