Hi, I’m Natasha.

Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.

I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.

“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

BOOK REVIEW  (By Natasha 09/12/16) - Alfie’s Christmas by Shirley Hughes

“Alfie’s Christmas” is all about Alfie’s family Christmas. From putting up the tree, wrapping the presents and posting the cards, to family visits and being together on Christmas day.

If you have read my other book review - Alfie by Shirley Hughes - you will already know that the Alfie series and Shirley Hughes books are my all time favourite children's books. I love everything about them, the story, the illustrations, the text and variety. But what I love most of all, is how much they are like real-life. You feel like Shirley Hughes is telling the story of your own life experiences or the ones you dream of. They are relatable, calming, warm and cosy. I always feel at home when I’m reading them to my children. I love the morals they teach as well as the fact the stories are, overall, about Alfie and Annie Rose, which is why I think kids love these books - kids love reading about other kids.

For me, this is a truly wonderful family Christmas story.

Our family give “Alfie’s Christmas” a rating of 5 out of 5!
