Hi, I’m Natasha.

Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.

I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.

“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

BOOK REVIEW  (By Natasha 02/12/16) - 20 to Make Mini Christmas Crochet by Val Pierce

Summary

“Mini Christmas Crochet” has twenty quick and easy crochet projects for Christmas. You can style up your Christmas tree, dinner table, presents and there is even a fridge magnet. They include a stocking (pictured above), a dove, an angel tree topper, napkin rings and so much more.

Review

If you are addicted to crochet and Christmas is your favourite time of year, you will love this book. I first found this book in my local library and loved it that much that I bought it from www.loveknitting.com last year.

You are not short of choices for crochet makes with this book. You could even challenge yourself to crochet one a day for 20 days leading up to Christmas. They are that easy to crochet. The patterns are written in a clear and concise way with colourful images to show what each item could look like. This will really get you in the Christmas mood.

Each project recommends using crochet thread and small crochet hook sizes but I have tried a few of the projects and done them all with either cotton or dk yarn with a 4mm hook and they turned out really well. They weren’t too big and looked very similar to the images in the book. Therefore, you can use other types of yarn and hook sizes.

I give “20 to Make Mini Christmas Crochet” a 5 out of 5.
