Hi, I’m Natasha.

Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.

I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.

“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.

I hope this brings you creative joy

Let’s get yarning and creative!

Crochet Clutch Bag - WITH FREE PATTERN (below)

This particular project is very straight forward and is based on the clutch from my “Starter Projects for Beginners” item. It was originally going to be another belt bag, but it ended up being too big.

I worked in UK Treble Crochet/tr (US Double Crochet/dc), changing colour every two rows. For the edging I worked with two strands together, one in cream and one in rose.

The finished size is approximately 22cm (8.6˝) by 13 cm (5˝).

Yarn

Robin Chunky (shade - Pale Rose 111 and Cream).

1 (each colour) x 100g (3.5oz/153yds/140m) balls.

Weight category: UK Chunky [US 5/Bulky/Chunky].

Tension/gauge: 14 stitches x 20 rows = 4″ (10cm) on size 5.5mm/UK 5 [US I/9] - 6.5mm/UK 3 [US K/10½] hook.

The crochet hook I used was a 6mm/UK 4 [US J/10].

I would give the Robin Chunky yarn a 3 out of 5 for the following reasons:-

- It was easy to work and worked up quickly;

- There is a reasonable choice of colours available;

- The feel of it was reasonably soft;

- The cost of yarn is very reasonable - I paid about £1.99 per 100g ball;

- Would I use this yarn again? YES.
