Hi, I’m Natasha.

Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.

I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.

“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.

I hope this brings you creative joy

Let’s get yarning and creative!

Crochet Josy - WITH FREE PATTERN (below)

(Definition: Josy is an abbreviation of ‘jar cosy’ courtesy of my Mum. Also, the proof of the crazy things that go through her mind, it definitely screams OOH LOOK AT ME!)

I liked the idea of using jars to store paintbrushes and things, so I thought it would be fun to make crocheted cosies to jazz them up a bit. I started with a multicoloured one for my paintbrushes and then I made two for watercolour water (one for dark paint and one for light paint). They are very quick and simple to make. They are also easily adjusted to fit different size jars by changing the number of increases and decreases you work.

I used scraps of DK yarn to make these (I would recommend Paintbox yarns) and a 3.5mm hook.

The multicolour josy fits a large Ragu size jar and the black and white josy fit small Salsa dip jars.
