Ooh, look at mewelcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.
I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.
“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

Crochet Practice Squares Blanket - perfect crochet practice
When I first started crocheting I really wanted to learn a large number of different stitches quickly. I came across “Harmony Guide: Basic Crochet Stitches 250 to Crochet by Erika Knight which, as with most books, I got from the library (FREEBIE). This book is reasonably easy to follow. However, for some, I have needed to look up online tutorials but this has only improved my learning. I decided to crochet squares approximately 15cm by 15cm each, following every stitch from the book. This is an ongoing project that I will continue with until I have completed every stitch in the book. Although, I am a bit behind on it at the moment but I will update as I progress.
I use any yarn in white, aqua and sometimes yellow that I have in my yarn stash. I have used Robin DK (shade - Aqua, yellow and White), Knitting Essentials Poundland (Shade - Aqua and White), and James C Brett Value DK (shade - white).
(Hover over any picture and it will tell you the name of the stitch I used)
I hope this brings you creative joy and inspires you to start your own yarn-tastic journey.
