Hi, I’m Natasha.

Ooh, look at me welcoming you to my creative blog, where I will introduce you to all the fun, creative and crazy things I get up to.

I am a wife and a mother to my 3 children and 2 dogs, so you can imagine how chaotic it can get in our house.

“Ooh, look at me!” is an ironic name because I actually don’t like drawing attention to myself or my family, yet I really like inspiring others to be creative because I know how fulfilling it can be. The name also comes from something silly we used to say years ago and it kind of just stuck with me.

Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.

I hope this brings you creative joy

Let’s get yarning and creative!

Embroidered Cross Stitch Cards - handmade birthday gifts

I was inspired by Jane Bull’s “Stitch by Stitch” book that I got from the library.  I feel it makes a birthday card special and more personal when it is handmade.

Kayleigh’s Birthday Card Story

Kayleigh’s birthday is first and I saw the design for the girl in the book.  I felt it was very much Kayleigh’s style and I instantly thought of her when I saw it.  I designed the balloon and flag banners myself.  I also chose to add the hearts on the bottom of the skirt myself.  I embroidered it straight onto aida, without drawing it out first.  I then stuck it onto pink card.  I actually used mostly pink.  Kayleigh is quite girly and loves pink, so this was perfect for her - she loved it!

Kameron’s Birthday Card Story

Kameron’s birthday is second and I decided to attempt an Action Man picture.  I drew it out on squared paper first and then followed it using cross stitch.  I also added the fun caption to make it a bit different.

Korey’s Birthday Card Story

Korey is a lover of anything technological, especially computers.  We tend to call him ‘The Computer Kid’.  He loves playing Minecraft and any other games that Stampy, Squid, AshDubh, Dan TDM, EthanGamerTV and all the other YouTubers are into playing.  This is why I thought a laptop picture would be perfect for him.  I drew the design out on squared paper and followed it in cross stitch.

The photos do not do the cards justice.

I hope this brings you creative joy and inspires you to start your own thread-tastic journey.

Please share and connect with us on social media.  I would love to hear from you and see your creations.

Let’s get creative!
